The key to success in Open Innovation Challenges and Opportunities, is the match between large organizations (challengers and initiators) and startups, SMEs or innovators (solvers). By transforming current issues or globals goals into concrete innovation needs, the established organizations collect fresh ideas, novel technologies and (ready-to-use) solutions to accelerate their programs.
The Match
A match occurs when startups, scale-ups, SMEs, inventive companies and other impact-minded people submit their proposition according to the specific challenge guidelines. When the challenger selects the solver(s) with the best pitch, they can further develop solutions, launch pilot projects, implement the results and pay it forward!
The Mission
The Challenge and Opportunity center is growing into the biggest marketplace for next-generation and impactful business opportunities. Open to use for every challenger, solver, initiator or innovator, as long as they are serious about collaborating. Our mission is to solve as much global or local issues as possible.
The Makers
This challenge center is managed by Starthubs, a team of open innovation enthusiasts and experts. We have over 15 years experience in open innovation and challenge based innovation and are actively launching challenges under the 'Powered by Starthubs' flag since 2017. Starthubs facilitates almost 100 challenges per year. We are proud to say that they lead to a match in 93% of the cases.
